I first met Audrey and PJ for their engagement photos in WaterColor. We spent the late afternoon walking around the parks and lake, ending at the beach for sunset. It felt easy from the start, like we'd known each other for a long time. I remember leaving, already looking forward to their wedding day. Their ceremony at Western Lake was simple and calm, set against the trees and flowers. Afterward, everyone gathered at the WaterColor Lakehouse, where the night shifted into a full celebration: great music, a packed dance floor, and time with loved ones. What stood out most was how intentional the couple was with their time. Audrey and PJ prioritized being present with each other and their guests over posing for photos. Because of that, I approached their wedding in a more documentary way, stepping back and letting moments unfold naturally. That shift has stayed with me, shaping how I capture weddings: with more value on experiences than structured timelines.
